Old Navy Reacts To First Grader Requesting Women’ Denims to Have Genuine Pockets
An Evening Star Grade school trainee named Kamryn asked Old Navy to start making women’ jeans with real pockets, and the seller responded.
The very first grader’s school district shared this touching story (and her letter to Old Navy) on Facebook. Here’s what she wrote, in complete:
Dear Old Navy,
I do not like that the front pockets of the women’ jeans are fake. I desire front pockets since I want to put my hands in them. I likewise want to put things in them. Would you consider making ladies’ jeans with front pockets that are not phony? Thank you for reading my request.I could not
have actually written it any much better myself. It’s clear, concise, and convincing enough to require a response from the business. “She was disappointed her denims didn’t have pockets, so I suggested and motivated her, ‘What do we require to do?'” Kamryn’s mommy, Kimberly, told Good Morning America. “She’s extremely enthusiastic about life … and utilizes her voice.”
Old Navy responded with a handwritten note addressed to Kamryn: “Thank you a lot for taking the time to write us about pockets on girls’ denims. The Old Navy kids product group values your details, it’s excellent feedback for us as we establish brand-new products.”
The company also sent her 4 pairs of denims in her size with pockets to show its “appreciation.” Gardner’s teacher, Ellie, explained her to GMA as “unstoppable”: “It’s actually amazing to see the world get a glance of her, fall for her, and be motivated by her passion.”
Let this be a lesson to everyone: When you desire something done, raise your hand and state something. You never understand who’s listening. Can’t await Kamryn to be running the entire fashion business in 20 years– in a pair of jeans with pockets.
